The CoVerlauf study is concerned with the course of infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Although it is known that some people develop a severe course of the disease, while others develop only mild symptoms or even no symptoms at all, more detailed knowledge about this is still lacking. The goal is to collect data to determine precisely how likely a severe course of disease is, depending on age, gender, and health status. A quantitative assessment of this risk is of considerable relevance to both the individual and the health care system. We also want to investigate the frequency and nature of possible late sequelae of the disease.
