ISARIC's (International Severe Acute Respiratory and emerging Infection Consortium) purpose is to prevent illness and deaths from infectious disease outbreaks. ISARIC is a global federation of clinical research networks, providing a proficient, coordinated, and agile research response to outbreak-prone infectious diseases. The COVID-19 Case Report Form are used for the collection of standardised clinical data to improve patient care and inform the public health response.
