To cope with the current pandemic and the ongoing treatment of patients, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is funding a national network of University medical centers in the fight against COVID-19. Amongst others, the network systematically collects and combine data of COVID-19 patients. The German Corona Consensus Dataset (GECCO) is a uniform dataset that uses international terminologies and health IT standards to improve interoperability of COVID-19 data.
